what is the best way to clean the oily fuel crap out of my car

I just use Nitro cleaner. There are many brands out there, all do a good job. Just make sure that you don't give your servos and electronics a soak while cleaning. Also good at getting the gunk off the inside of the body, but after a while the paint seems to thin out so a package of baby wipes comes in handy for the body. Everyonce in a while, take the engine out for a good cleaning, but while the engine is still in, make sure to keep up on the build up around the carb. The stuff is also good at cleaning out the foam filter. Just remember to reoil the foam.

Every so often, I completely disassemble the car just to make sure everything can get cleaned while doing maintainance.

For cleaning the gunk off your engine or chassis or pipe I recommend nitroclean. But for the rest of the car I would say just some soap, water, and a toothbrush.

Nitroclean drawes out the oils from EVERYTHING this is fine for the outside of the above mentioned items. You dont want nitro clean stripping the oils from your bearings. If you DO use nitroclean on the entire ride just remember to re=oil your bearings.

I use this cleaner called "Simple Green". I just spray it on, use a toothbrush to get some of the really gacked up areas & then blow it out with an air compressor... Works perfect everytime....

I use denatured alchohol in a spray bottle, then blow off with compressed air, this stuff is $10 a gallon at your local hardware store, very similar to the nitro cleaner that you spend 4-6 bucks a can for! but actually works better! has no petrolium distilates in it which means you can safley spray the whole car down with it without harm! At ten bucks a gallon, thats about a whole year supply for me, imagine how many cans of nitro cleaner you would go through in a year! If you put this stuff in one of those new recharcable aerisol cans you would basiclly have the same thing as nitro cleaner at a better cost and quantity!

I use nitro cleaner for the rouch job, and then I use a product from Serpent which is just amazing, it's sticky cement kind of thing which you just press on the part you want to clean, and pull it off again with the dirt..

Serpent Cleaning Gum is the name of the product.

Some may disagree with my using it but I have always used automotive brake parts cleaner. I have never had a problem with it and it blows all the crud right away and dries in seconds. I just go to the llocal auto parts store and buy the cheaper store name brand. It costs about $2.50 a can compaired to $6.00 for R/C named cleaners. From what I can tell they seem pretty much the same but I could be wrong. Anyway, it works for me.

Yes it is basically the same thing. But, brake cleaner has a bunch of other very stong checmicals to remove any and ALL grease form the brake surface and pads. You just have to be very carefull not to expose your skin to the actual cleaning agent/liquid for a long time. I used to work in a mechanics shop and some of the guys there got very very bad cases of dry skin because of it to the point that their skin cracked. Very painfull.

NitroClean is maybe not AS good as brake cleaner but its also not as harmful. I'm either case, read all directions and warning very carefully before using either of those products.
