i recently bought a revo 3.3... i added a vantage carbon fiber chassis, proline wing mnt and wing, bowtie tires, mip cvd's thru out, alum p3 rockers, foc with light weight shafts, graphite brakes, trinity hi-flo pipe, extended rpm arms, 17mm hubs, alum servo saver assembly, alum rods and turnbuckles, custom reciever and reciever battery mount, single servo throttle mount, single steering servo high torque... i wanna get a new air filter, any recommendations. if anyone has any other mods that they recommend it would also be appreciated. thanks, adam

:D

Check out the Motor Saver air filter, you'll have to re-tune after replacing the stock filter. Traxxas also has a high-flow filter, I've never used that one so I can't comment on it. I have the MS filter on my Revo and I really like it. They are usually $15-$20, good investment IMO.

thanks. I've heard of the motor saver. how much of a difference would you say a upgraded filter makes when it comes to performance? i think i saw a site showing how to use the stock rubber tube from the stock fitler assembly and glueing it to the motor saver filter...

Could you post a picture of what your modified REVO looks like?

The MS filter comes with a tube that is shaped somewhat like the stock one is. It has a 'dimple' in it so that it clears the spur gear. I think it made a small performance difference, but the engine definitely breaths easier and I know the air it's getting is clean. They also sell an outer foam for even more protection, it fits over the entire 'head' of the MS filter. The end is still open but the sides are covered by the extra sleeve. You can look in the 'Revo pics' thread, mine is towards the end (last couple of pages) and see what it looks like.

yes i will def post pics of the revo... thanks for the advise. i need to get this. I'm waiting for my trinity pipe and ace racing pipe to come in the mail but they should be here in 2 days or so. ill add pics of the revo with the stock exhaust and more pics when i get the other pipes.

i also just put on the tekno sway bar kit... i havent even driven this revo yet. i think I'm gonna get rid of the ez start and maybe put on a tiger drive or something along those lines

pics are up on my profile. i took 3 more but they exceed the kb's allowed. ill take more and try to post them soon. the other pics show a lot more detail of the revo...

i would definetly go with the Motor Saver air filter.

i noticed you went with MIP CVDs. they are notorius for having the grub screw come out and loosing the pin that connects the two halves together. just to let you know! good luck with your revo. sounds like a good one to me!

I like the Traxxas Platinum filter setup.I have 4-5 MS filters.I love the general design but I do not like that the pre filter does not cover the end.Air entering this part is not filtered by the prefilter.I am sure it flows better than any other filter though. Also the spur gears tend to rub through the tube.I know you can cut and glue the Traxxasa tube to the MS filter assembly but now this is getting tedious for me.The platinum design dual filters all inlets,it secures the front of the filter with a mount, and its the best fitting tube you will find. Traxxas!

thanks ill def keep that in mind. maybe get both and try them out. thanks for all the advice everyone.
