What kinda tools do I use to remove the piston pin and the Ball Bearings in my T-MAXX 2.5 motor? The old crank case still has one Ball Bearing inside of it and I can't get it out.

Thanks

are you trying to replace the piston and sleeve?

it might just be cheaper to send it to traxxas, and get a new one for $50 or bump up to the 3.3 for $50

just a thought.

Reply Ball Bearings and pin

Yes I need to replace both sleeve and piston. the old crank case has a nasty
hole in it so I have to replace it as well and there is still one Ball Bearing in the crank case that I need to get out to use in the new crank case.
I can't get the Ball Bearings out of the crank case.

Thanks

take a hair dryer to it for a good bit and the bearing should pull or maybe even fall right out.

gloves would be a good idea though, it might be hot, haha.

ok now for the old piston pin?

I need tp remove the old pin to use in the new piston. How can I get it out?

Thanks

please, i beg you not to reuse the old pin, you should always replace the pin, sleeve, clip, and piston together.

well ok

Ill see what I can do. LOL by the way I am new at this motor repair stuff and I dont know much about them. LOL.

Thanks for your help dude.
