bad engine?

I've got a traxxas revo and whenever i start the engine it starts off fine, and then when i gas it revs a bit and then cuts out. I know this sounds like its lean but it also does it on rich and just about everywhere in between. i was just wondering if it needs a good tuning or if i should get a new engine?

Have you tryed messing with your lsn that maybe to lean.

I would reset to factory settings, and maybe seal the engine with RTV, my Savage motor was giving me alot of trouble and it still doesn't seem as fast as it should, but ever since i sealed the carb to the motor it runs alot better and starts warm which once it stalled while warm would never start again until it cooled down til now. but i still think i need a new motor, but at least i can still have some fun.
