i wanna know about these nova family engines in the mid 200 range. and the collari 3pt. any1 have any knowledge on these.

i know that if i was gonna suck it up and buy a motor, that i want a lil more punch, even if at expense of topend. idk yet if many of these guys at our new track understand that while big and w/a long straight. a topend happy motor can't really b utilized around the track. so i'm lookin at lesser port, lowend motors. hence i found a couple nova family (1 top 1 rossi i think) in the mid 200s, right on the end of budget, but somethin i wanna get .02 on.
also this collari 3pt buggy engine at 220. interested on people's thought w/that.

this vs the RB S5 motor.

thoughts, thx again. now off 2 run the hyper 1 more time this yr w/this good weather we're havin (well 4 wkend). btw SUT is thru tank 6 of 8. after that it gets torn down b/c it could b built from factory so much better.

look at a P5 long stroke... those things haul ass on the bottom and still got nice top end... my look at it is the one oh comes fastest out of a corner is gunna be the fastest one going into the next.

what about parts? rb parts are just as expensive if not more. this is a 6-8+ gallon motor. i just bought one myself.

looking for a little faith here, I'm trying to share a very short lived deal while its available.

ah ok, check ebay, they are always listed on there. nitrohouse.com usually has them. availablity wont be a problem if thats your concern. also parts swapping is pretty good between novarossi motors, lots use the same bearings and connectings rods, heads, that sorta stuff.

parts are pretty widely available at many stores on ebay and otherwise.

Ace hobby have them, i think ultimate hobbies might have em too, but the americans around will know better...(I'm in the UK)

hmm, well i'll need a header and pipe too of course, new clutch assembly and flywheel are a given. all this expense and i wont be able 2 even break it in til next yr. late winter/early spring. might have 2 wait sadly. hyper broke a shock shaft 2day b/c i made a mistake off the table top. and that was due 2 some steering issues that cropped up. it was basically time 2 tear down the buggy thorough. now i gotta wait 4 nitromonkey.com 2 open back up so i can buy a screw set 4 the car. it'll b a fun winter.

that is a nice motor, but i can't justify saving 40bux on it, spendin 230 2 get it and have it sit 4 3-4mths.

but i'll keep my eye out 4 this 1.

i have absolutlly nothing i can put a P5 in right now unless i swap back and forth between my V-spec in my storm jsut for the hell of it, but still I'm twidling my thumbs considering clicking the buy now button....

its that good eh? how about tuning, consistant? thats what i'm lookin 4. and nice consistant engine thats easy on itself (yes tuner has the input on this). not the endall on-kill mode motor.

I'm in the exact same boat. ill have to buy a flywheel and clutch setup for it too, so its an easy swap. but as you can see, I've already clicked the button. have a looksee, my sn on ebay is GTi1497.

ultegra, yes its THAT good. a very proven and very reliable motor. tons of bottom end power and enough top end to satisfy most people. its a true racing engine, not a budget mill like an XTM, OS RG, Fantom, Epic, SH, etc. true italian quality, ease of tuning, and consistancy.

I have the P5 in my Hyper 7 PCR and it has crazy bottom end power running a 14t clutchbell. It also has some good top end. I feel it is a very easy motor to tune. Most the time I do not touch the needles. Now that the weather has turned cold I did some minor adjustments. For $220 it is a great deal.
