Almost finished this small project. Just need a GPM aluminium shock tower brace and some white wheels and then it is ready to hit the dirt :)

Its a basher so it will be run hard therfore I only added the most basic upgrades, aluminium wheel hubs and diff covers. Painted a new body since I think the stock ones are a bit dull. 3 layers of translucent yellow followed by 3 layers of gold and backed by pearl white and light gun metal. Hope youi like it :)

I make rare exceptions to cab-forward buggies looking good, but this one actually does. Nice work with the body and the red ano highlights.

It has to be used! 😂

Good thing about the typhons is that when they do tumble womble only the wheels and wing touch. The body can get scratches at the very top but I put on some PPF that can be replaced 😊

I'll bet you'll have so much fun, you won't even notice a scratch or 2! 😎👍

It looks good! Almost too good! 🤔
Time to get it dirty!!!! 😎🤣
What tire and wheel combo is that? Any link?
The wheel look a bit like the old Kyosho 5 star wheels.
Are we going to see any running vids??? 👍😁
Time to get it dirty yes! 😎

It's a cheap Chinese Proline Badlands knock off. They feel every bit as good as the stock ARRMA wheels. I got them from AliExpress for $10 for a set of 4: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHNYdZm

I'll se if I can do a running vid. Planning to do one with my infraction half cab. Just need to figure out a good way to film 😃

I ripped the center out of a stock Arrma wheel with a stock Arrma Granite.
I hope you get some good run time out of these tires and wheels!
I just bought a couple sets of foam tire and wheels. The new track surface seems to like foam. I hope some day soon I'll get there to find out for myself! 🤣
I almost bought a few sets of Kyosho wheels yest too but I bought a lot of stuff yest. I'd really just like to get my car moving, worry about that stuff after I get a few laps in!
I'd love to see some running vids of your R/C's! Filming seems to be the tough part! I'll keep watching for one tho! 😎👍

Is it a Granite Grom or the bigger one? If its the Grom which tires did you get then? The only viable substitute for the stock tires I can find is the Proline Badlands MX which are backordered currently :) I am looking for a tyre upgrade for my new Granite Grom BLX "EXB" build :)

Agree with the videos. It adds a new dimension so to say :D

The Granite is a 3s version.
Its as if the wheel nut got very hot and melted the center so its cone shaped. I haven't really looked into the problem. I need to order a set of wheels from Jennysrc.com.
I'd enjoy some snow running this winter. 😎
Are your tires 2.2" 12mm hex?

I've seen that before but on bigger trucks. What size is your hex hubs?

It's 1.9" rims and 72mm tires. I actually found some HPI wheels that I ordered to pair with a set of Xray tires. So for now I think I'm good 😃

Mine run a 12mm hex. Standard for all sorts of rc buggies. 1.9 is common for older RC and I think crawlers use them a lot.
You would need to adjust your gearing for taller tires but I bet it would look CRAZY as a 'monster buggy'! 😍
I'll be watching for your new set too! 😎👍
