You could say I am, but it just more or less something I bought myself on a spur of the moment deal. I'm getting a Associated TC3, it was only 75 bucks so hopefully I didnt go wrong lol.

Moved thread to the the general forum since it isn't large scale specific.

I am not getting an RC rig, but I am picking up some tools and parts for my Baja's and a large rolling hauler.

A Losi 2.2 crawler is on order, but won't be available until after xmas so I guess it doesn't count.

I am getting myself a few brushless motors, ESCs, and lipo packs.

Sadly, no. I'm getting my old 2.5 T-Maxx back from my brother though. He installed a lot of goodies so it's really like a christmas present to me even though I'm trading him one of my RC10GT2 for it.

I was going to buy a truggy of some sort, maybe an RC8T, but opted to use that money on a 2.5ct bridal set for the misses. I think it's always best to keep her happy so that future rc purchases do not suffer the wrath.

Like Lessen said though, I'll let you know next week for certain. :\

Nope the wife said I had to wait till tax time to get the new Slash or "mistress" as she likes to call them, but I am getting more goodies for the AX10....

yep. i'm looking at getting the new RC8T RS and the E conversion. depending on some other items, i'll be looking at a new NEU motor and MMM.

but i did get a nice 'newish' TC5 from SD. it looks great!

Getting a micro-t or a micro desert truck to play with the cats.
Hopefully getting a new Jammin'.21 or .28 for my truggy.

Santa is bringing me a Slash... well Santa brought me a Slash in October..... It is still brand new in the box though.... so I suppose that counts! LOL Santa is also brining my son a Slash as well!

The wife bought me a new Kenwood DNX7120 Stereo for my truck, along with Polk MM6501 components in the front, Polk MM651 in the rear doors, a 10" JL Sub, and two Alpine amps to drive it all. She got tired of hearing me complain about having to use FM modulation to listen to my SAT radio and Ipod so she bought me a new stereo that has all of that built in, along with NAV so that I didn't have so many cables and stuff hanging in my window. It was only supposed to be a new stereo, but we caught a really good sale at Tweeter. They were going out of business and everything was being liquidated. So we outfitted my entire truck. My wife really loves me! Plus I get to relive my teenage years! LOL There is no substitue for really clear sound and tight bass! I have fallen in love with music all over again!

Nothing big for myself or the wife this year, last year I got her a gift certificate to have her teeth whitened. This year we're cutting WAAAY back all the way around. Both the companies we work for in an 'iffy' situation and there may be lay-offs in '09. Merry F'ing Christmas.

You know Mr. Clean.. we try and cut back every year. This year we agreed with the extended family not to exchange gifts this year. The wife and I talk about just buying for our kids, but it never works out. I just love shopping for her at Christmas!

Best of luck for the new year Mr. Clean... hopefully no layoffs.

I hear ya Tom, we haven't done anything with the extended family (exchanging gifts) in a long time. We always get together for a family dinner and stuff like that. I'm not sure how much my wife spent on me.........at the most $50, which is fine by me, I'd be just as happy with nothing, I enjoy watching the kids more. But I know I'll end up spending more on her and it makes her feel bad, even though I tell her over and over again that it doesn't matter to me.
Now come tax time, if we're both still working (which I believe we will be) I will have a new RC :D

That is the tough part... I always end up spending more on her and it does make her feel bad too. To me it just doesn't matter what she gets me, if anything. I enjoy watching the kids tear into their presents. It really is a heart warming time. To me just having my health and my family is all that is important.

So what RC would you have in mind?

Santa will hopefully have a big enough hole in his wallet for me to get myself a Baja SS... Although that's a big hope, lol

+1 to that!

I was thinking really hard about an E-Revo or the brushless edition. I know that's going to be a BIG chunk of money when it comes out and the E-Revo isn't really cheap either. So I'm thinking about the Slash, $200 is hard to argue with and converting to brushless seems to be pretty easy. This would be something my son could drive too and from what everyone has said, it might be able to hold up while he's learning to drive it and bounce it off some stationary items around the house.....LOL
