Sounds familiar
(Flashbacks to radiounlink/dumborc deleting, blocking and censoring anything negative)

since we're talking about gears, it could be possible. Like for example with radiolink, all the sudden there were huge surge of users with the same issue. Or it might not be the same thing like for example, getting a poorly manufactured or machined gears like a bad batch. (Sort of radiolinks back story but a bit different) Like if there are other people having the same issue with the gears/diffs, then sure it might be that they are deleting bad ratings. If not, then maybe its just a bad batch of them. (going back to radiolink, they started with a bad batch of boards and firmware but now they are still making them and don't take in their faults so thats where things escalated)

Heard of cobra racing but never used any of their stuff or see them in detail so can't really say.
I found them on eBay one day but now this happened it makes me wish bought the parts to build some real diffs for my XO-1 rather than wasting my time and money on CR's diffs. Next i might get the parts to build the right diffs that belong in that car the E-Maxx\E-Revo diffs with the reinforcements in the cups. My previous original set lasted a year and a half.

Wondering if you tried to return/exchange these diffs and how that went.

I bought these diffs December and first installed them in February so they would have been well outside of the return window.

Wouldn’t hurt to at least send an email with your findings. While I don’t agree with the practice of rebranding cheap products and selling them for a premium, it’s only fair to give the business a chance to fix it while we blast them online.

I’m also nosey and want to know what they have to say… 😂

Has anyone ordered any parts from Cobra Racing? If so, are they good quality?
I ordered the green diffs for stampede 4x4. No indication they weren't in stock. Received email yesterday morning that they're on back order. Charged my account immediately on order and now they say estimated shipping in 1 to 2 weeks. Sent them email to just cancel order and refund payment. We'll see how that goes. I won't be trying to order from them again.

Okay, thank you
I emailed them to cancel order. They replied that the difference were popular and there stock got depleted and said they were shipping them the end of this week and gave me a 10% discount code for a future purchase. I guess we'll see. I'm really hoping they are better than stock. I'll let you know when I receive them and get them installed.

DO NOT BUY FROM COBRA RACING; the shocks and shock towers are low quality and they will not take returns or give refunds even within 30 days.

The front shock towers for the Slash 4x4 are just plain wrong - see attached. The holes for the body mount bracket are not angled correctly. I will say that the threads are much better than GTHELE from Amazon, but that doesn't matter if you can't mount the body.

The shocks have basically zero damping, which I didn't find out until after I had spent additional money on fasteners and spacers at the local hardware store because the included bolts didn't catch enough threads on the tower. So yeah I was flipping over and bouncing all over the track. Then I spent *more* money and rebuilt the shocks that came with my used Slash and the difference is astonishing.

They respond to emails but they are not willing or able to actually solve the problem. Shame on me for not finding this thread earlier.

Okay, thank you
Thought I'd give an update. Finally received the differentials, after I repaired the stripped one. Stripped the rear again a few days ago and installed the cobra racing ones. They didn't quite line up with the screw holes, but was able to get them installed by brute force. Haven't tested them yet, haven't had time. I would have just trashed them and got the Traxxas pro built, but since I paid $135 for the pair, I couldn't throw them away. Conscience wouldn't let me try to sell them to some other unsuspecting soul. I'll update again when I actually get to run the truck. When these go out, which I'm sure they will cause I do run it hard, I'll have to also replace front and rear bulkheads due to forcing the fit. All things considered, save your money and headache, and go with another brand.

Thank you for testing it out and it's a bummer that you had to pay that much for something that doesn't fit right

Latest update on Cobra Racing. Finally got a chance to get the Stampede out after installing the Cobra differentials. Front one stripped smooth. Didn't even make it through one battery. At $135 for the pair, steer completely away from the brand. I know things wear and break, but didn't even make it 20 minutes.

Okay, thank you very much 🫡

Well that's just 💩! Sorry you got screwed.

This is my first time seeing this. I just received the Cobra Racing 30mm wheel extensions for my Slash. Fit is good. Truck handles great now. Easy to install. I've only had em a couple days now tho. I'll keep you updated on their durability. Note: my original order was lost by the post office and never found. I emailed Cobra about this and after a few more emails and about a week later, they sent another set to make it right. They were $20 for the set of 4 (I guess someone at the post office got the original set for free). But thats been the total of my experience with Cobra Racing. You be the judge
