My friend has a cheaper RC. He is trying to stip the paint and paint it himself. What can work for stripping the paint? He tried sanding it which did work a little but it will take too long.

If there's nothing that can work, what kind of body would fit it?
Looked at Prolines selection and looks like 1/10 and 1/8 MT would not fit. Neither a crawler body. Looking at a short course body but waiting for some measurements.

Dot3 brake cleaner was the old way. If you have nitro fuel I'd use that instead.

Done it both ways I like the fuel way better. Coat a cotton ball and scrub. In complete honesty, buy a 12×24 vinyl wrap off the bay or Amazon and wrap it.

If it's a hard body, vinyl wrap or scuff it and paint it.

Nothing will strip paint from silk screen printed bodies as the paint is baked into the plastic during the molding process. I once saw someone use acetone to remove silk screen and I tried it and it took me nearly an hour to remove about 2 square inches of silk screen paint :(

You can use brake fluid on many brands of paint that have been airbrushed, but most brands of aerosol paint can't be removed using brake fluid either :(

The amount of effort in removing paint is not worth the hassle, just go buy a new clear lexan body, been there done that, ha!
