I will shortly be looking for a new project, ideally something built from a kit.

I like scale models and would like to build something out of the ordinary.

Any ideas?

I don’t suppose there would be sufficient demand to justify a kit of my following ideas, but it gives an idea of what I’m interested in.

I suppose I could build the custom bodywork from scratch on a kit chassis?

Actually a diesel loco wouldn’t be out of the question, not sure where I could run it though.

Gonna get interesting. Used to have a tarmac ready mix plant here but it got bought out years ago. Surprised to see the same green and yellow logo across the pond.

It’s funny how many brits think stuff is British, when so much of it found its way across the Atlantic from the states.

Look at you branching out!

I was looking for an 8x8 chassis for ya, and stumbled on one for the SCX24. Why? Why did I have to see this? It even has 4-wheel steering up front, which is something I have been waiting to see. Curse you Roog!

I say do the 8x8. Not a very common RC dude. But I imagine you're gonna want 1/10 scale.

Looks interesting, let’s face it, whatever I choose it isn’t going to be conventional, and yes big is beautiful :0)
looks like it could be an expensive project too with all of those axles. As they say talk is easy, but when I see the full cost it usually reigns in my aspirations .

I’ll see what else there is which doesn’t require quite so much hardware.
Unimog may be?

Yes this one is, I could make a bigger one!

It’s not very adventurous though.
Oh, you sure could! A Wheelie Yellow type monstrosity, swaying around at high speed? with a fiberglass shell and your machining skills for a chassis? Now THAT would be absolutely epic my man.

I’ll give it some thought, there must be an interesting van worth building.

Citroen ‘H’ van might be a good theme, often seen converted into a mobile coffee shop!

I love the dynamics of Mr Yellow’s van, funny all by itself.

If you build the van, you need to make vidoes solving RC mysteries! 🤣
Wheelie yellow is fantastic!!! Love that van!😍

Could be an interesting spin-off for wheelie yellow, although the idea of me making videos makes me flinch, I’m far too self conscious to do that.

Agreed. The fact that the van weebles and wobbies while running full tilt through the entire video is what drew me in. I don't think I have seen any of his vids where it wasn't full throttle.

The scenes where he is basting by other people with that heavy ass van kills me too. It makes me wonder how many legs he's taken out 😅

Possibly Less likely to get busted in the UK, but nevertheless still a concern

The team from top gear, (might have been on the grand tour or drive tribe), test drove one of these, i think they suggested it was a death trap, funny its not like them to worry about such things
