I just broke another clutch (spring broke actually) and am getting the integy 3 shoe clutch and flywheel that still uses the worm spring (no stocks the ones with the individual springs that i can find) and was wondering if anyone has experiance with them.

Also i bumped up from a 19 or 20 tooth worn out pinion to a 23 tooth should i adjust the trans so the shift point is higher going into 2nd?

I'm pretty sure your Integy 3 shoe clutch will have 3 little springs, one for each shoe. Yes you may need to set the shift point higher. Only do it after you run it with the new bell. I say this because alot of people run the shift point too high already, maybe you have it set right now, but alot of people don't.

My integy 3 shoe clutch had individual springs. It works great and they have a lot of them on eBay.

A 3 tooth jump up is a lot. Watch your temps. I threw a 23t clutch on a 2.5 Maxx with a 3.3, and it was too much. Even on the street. The engine couldn't wind out. It was fast. 21 or 22 would be faster though, because of the higher rpm's the engine could reach.

your thinking one like this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPUD5&P=7

but since i can't get it i am going with http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKVL0&P=7 and if it you click the part number in the requires field it pulls up the mip worm springs.

my temps actually aren't to bad with the bigger clutch bell so far i'm still messing with the tune will probably step it down to a 19 or 20 when i go to play with it at the track i got the 23 because at the time it was the only hardened clutch bell the hobbytown here

i look into the ones on ebay

i would love to get one of the individual spring ones but i can't find them anywhere even the ones i have seen on ebay have either been 2 shoe or the 3 shoe that use the worm spring like the one from great assembly

I bought a dynamite 2 shoe clutch for my maxx, I just haven't tried it yet. It comes with a worm spring too.

i went ahead and got the 3 shoe integy that uses the worm spring (went with a losi spring) and its pretty sweet.
