I have to say, I haven't broken a stock HPI savage arm yet. I'm a big promoter of RPM for my traxxas rigs (t-maxx in the past, revo currently), but the savage doesn't need it.

I did an all arm replacement after 2 years worth of abuse due to wear at the hinge pins. 2 years, stock arms. I bash hard. I've busted a few axle uprights, a couple bulkheads, bent tvp's and ripped an engine plate in half. But I have yet to break an arm.

I heard the X arms are weaker though. Are you running a X or normal savage?
