Hey just wondering if anyone has tried the Airbrush that uses the can of propel instead of a compressor? And if so can you still get the quality you do with a compressor?

Yes you can get some very good results with the propellant cans. The best thing to do is soak the can of air in warm water a few minutes before shooting (this also helps with rattle cans). Then spray a little air out of the brush before hooking up the paint bottle, this will get any moisture out of the can. Once the air is coming out nice and clean then hook up your paint and your ready to go. Testors makes a pretty nice detail brush for about $20 at wal-mart, it works quite well. I used it before I bought my Paasche.

i agree.. id buy both though.. the detail is good for detail, the other option is great for all basica painting u would do with a rattle can... also has bigger cup to it.. the only thing is the parma waterbased paint.. u go tto have a full can of air and thin it out a tad, but not too much.. due to the thick paint its hard to work with.. does oil paint no prob though...

air brushes are great to use, u can make custom colors spray chrome and all..
