lookin to buy shocks for my tmaxx 2.5 and was wanting to know if anybody had any good advice on a brand that out preformes others??

I have big bores on my 3.3 (4907) and they work great I'm pretty sure the same big bores fit the 2.5 version. 65 bucks that I don't regret.

The traxxas big bores are about as good as you will find these days. Back in the day there were others that were "better", but they aren't around anymore.

UE Supermaxx shocks
EDS bypass shocks (I think that was the name)
Pro-line bypass shocks

Speaking of the big bores from Traxxas, the shafts look like an off gold color in pics, does anyone know what material they are made of ? Titanium?

The big bores are titaunim nitride coated. Still really good shocks for the money though. I like the Pro-Line Power Stroke shocks better but they are no longer made. Olds has a list of the best above but for cost and simplicity Big Bores are great stuff.
