RPP Hobby has them on sale right now, I paid less then $20 for a pair of them shipped to my door, that is like half price.:D

I love RPP! They are bad ass. Glad those worked out for you. Now lets just hope everything is dry haha

Thats a great price. Glad to see you updating the 'ol girl.

Yeah this is the only upgrade I have made in a while other the new batteries I just got last week, which was just a couple more mystery packs, I did change the leads out to 12awg. wire though, it looks much better that way and there should be less resistance. the only other upgrade I want to make is to put a Robinson Racing aluminum bottom gear in the transmission, I can't really think of anything else to upgrade on it. But I am open to ideas. And yeah every thing dried out after my rig took a swim and I joined the RECON Aquatic Assault Team, LOL!!! Thank God!!!!

Another small update, I made new cross braces out of 5/16" white Delrin and added a new body mounting system that a lot of guys are running at the comps I go to, the body mounting system basically consists of all plastic hardware which is different length bolts and nuts cap nuts and couple of different size washers that I did not use as well as some pieces that allow you the clamp the body mounts onto your cross braces as long as the are at least 5/16", I did not use these either, instead I Drilled and taped the plastic bolts that were the length I needed to mount my body, I also took pics of my 5/16" Delrin upper links that I made for the rear a couple of weeks ago. Any way here you go. Here is a link to the guy selling the body mount kit if you are interested

Looks good Curtis! Idnewcrwlr picked me up a set of those body mounts too, I like their design with the acorns.

Sweet! they worked well for me today but my MIP CVD's didn't, I broke 2 on one course and 1 on another course:angry: Gonna call MIP on Monday and give them a piece of my mind.....

Lookin good man. I am going to try the eem velcro body mount, if it doesn't hold i will switch to gunnars.

Well as you know I ran them for a long time and they worked well for the most part, just trying new options.

Another small update

Well I think I have taken my AX10 Comp Rig as far as I can take it, and really can't think of anything else to change or upgrade.

Here is my last upgrade and pics of my new stuff Santa brought me LOL!!!!

My new Robinson Racing Hard Aluminum Differential Gear AX10

I also got a new Robinson Racing 87T Spur and Pro Aluminum 13T pinion

Only one problem though, the spur gear says it is for the AX10 but the holes do not line up with the screw holes when you have the spur gear sitting on the pegs on the spur gear mount, so my only option would be to cut the pegs off of the mount but that would mean only 3 points of engagement VS. 6 :\ Any ideas?

For real? Its not a direct perfect fit?

For real Lloyd, I could not freaking believe that I bought a gear that said it was for my specific rig and it doesn't fit, I was like WTF is this SH!T!!!!!, so I sent Robinson Racing a email and now i just have to wait to see if they respond, the only thing I can think of is that it maybe works with rigs that have a slipper clutch, who knows????

Small Update:

I have been working on getting my rig to climb a little better, and after talking with some of my crawling buddy's around here I am now trying some Black plastic Axial wheels in the back to see if that helps, I also went to a black 3/8" Delrin lower links, and Black 5/16" Delrin cross braces so they all match color wise, one other thing that I changed was to move my front 4-links to the top of the 4-link mount which allows the front wheels to lay over a little when they turn giving it a little side bite. I also cut off the bottom of the body that I had folded in and I like it better, besides that is how my new Crowd Pleaser body is going to be when I get it back from being painted. Any way here is a few current pics of it.

Sweet dude hope it crawls better for ya.

Yeah me too, I can already tell it will be easier to get back on it wheels, I was playing around with it in the garage making it flip upside down and it did not take much to get it flip back over now that it has a much more forward weight bias. I am hoping to go crawl this coming Thursday to see if the changes helped any...:D

Let Us know how it goes.

Yeah it should make a nice difference, just getting used to it will be the biggest thing in my opinion.

Yeah I think your right Lloyd, I think it will make the biggest difference in descents since the back of my rig is so much lighter now, just hoping the trade off will be worth it, now that the rain has stopped I will be able to play a little on my rock pile in the backyard.:D

Forgot a couple of things

I forgot a couple of other things that I have changed, all to hopefully to make it work better specially at climbing, first is new Duratrax 3.5" shocks, I switched the springs to my Losi white springs because the stock yellow springs seemed a little to firm and I also moved my front upper links to the top of the 4-link plate which rolled the axle back a little so the wheels lay over a little when they turn which is supposed to help give you a some side bite when your climbing and turning. I guess I will find out how much all the changes that have been made to it work the next time I go crawling.
