hey guys.
my e-maxx is on the way I'm at school so ill post pics tonight but man is it looking good. now heres my dilema i want this truck to look strait up awsome but when i make a show/project truck i also make realy high performance. so it would probaly be under the catagory show/drag or show/performance. any ways i run the traxxas aluminum bulks (just cause i love there blue) and right now i have proline arms just for now. i also run the rpm big bearing carriers cause thats not an item that needs to be real shiny for a st (show truck) and i need the support for my big joes.
ok I'm a good driver and maybe I'm arogant but i know I'm pretty dang good at it so I'm not worried a bout crashing what i am worried about is that other radio on my chanle or that one little piece of electronics (whatever it may be) that cost 40$ that will glitch my truck right into a curb. so do i dare run alu a-arms with alu bulks?? what do you guys recomend?? the only reason i ask is cause i want a show truck that is durable and looks like a st!
i know about rpms arms but i didnt think they look that good but maybe i could get the white ones and have them chrome plated i dont know! a super fast st thats my dilema!! :no_commen i think i ve bored every one enough
 
RPM arms are definitley better for serious bashing. Its up to you, show or bash. I drive my stuff hard, and I took off my aluminum arms for good a long time ago.
 
Aluminum a-arms are great for a show truck that stays stationary (as in not moving...ever). After that, a high speed crash becomes a costly affair. I suggest sticking with the plastic a-arms.

If you want to mix things up (which will take away from the show truck part) you could run some aluminum upper a-arms with RPM lowers. I personally run aluminum uppers and stock lowers. Why the mix? The plastic lowers are more likely to take a hit from a ground object. If they break or get dinged up, they are cheap to replace. The uppers give a little extra rigidity and strength. So far the mix has stood up to everything I have thrown at it.
 
I have rpms a-arms on mine, with a pink (used to be red) aluminum bulkhead in the front and stock in the rear (until it breaks). I got my t-maxx used from a friend already somewhat equipped. Everyone I know has rpms on theirs...lifertime warranty...what more could you ask for...
I laugh when people say they aren't worried about crashing, if you aren't worried about crashing then you're not driving hard enough...besides accidents happen.
Show trucks have their place, but in my opinion they just aren't sturdy enough to beat on...

i think ill make everything as nice as possible and then put rpm and big joe 40 with road rage tires and then the handling and speed (i never told you why its gonna be so fast I'm running brushless!!:yes: )will make up for lack of shiny arms. i also realy like that mixing idea so once i get my brushless and i finish the rest of the truck ill decide! thanks guys
