Ok, I took off my home made turnbuckles, to make room for the new ones. In my haste taking it apart, I forgot how all this stuff goes.

WHich side does bar "A." go on. underneath the bellcrank arms, or on top? Which side do the the tie rods go on?

I could use a bit of help here, it just wont turn rigth how I set it up, and I don't understand how to make it work right. Maybe I have it all boogered up anywas thanks for any help you cnan provide. (the way I had it set up it was rubbing the diff)

From your picture, you have the turnbuckles (tie rods as you called them) in the right place.

From your picture, you need to move part A (the drag link) to the other side of the bell crank. When the truck is sitting on its wheels, the turnbuckles are closest to the chassis plate (on top), then the drag link (in the middle) and then the bell cranks (on the bottom).

Hope that helps.

Ok when I do as you suggested, the turnbuckle ends hit the differential. If you look closely on the collar, you can see where I tryed to force the drag link to turn, and the turnbuckle ends rubbed.

So what you are saying is that if I switch the side the drag link is on, everything will be in the correct position?

The way you have it currently set up the thing will not turn. The rod ends on the turnbuckle will act like a door stop between the drag link and the bell crank.

If you put it together in the fashion that I mentioned, it will work just fine. As for the rubbing on the collar, I wouldn't worry about it too much. My collar is notched from the longer screws I used on my set up.

Per the T-Maxx blow up diagrams:
Drag link is on top of the bell crank and the turnbuckles are under the drag link (their location of the turnbuckles is different than my own).

That set up will work just fine with stock TRAXXAS rod ends on your turnbuckles. I use a bit beefier set and they caused my steering to jam up. I run my turnbuckles from the top of the drag link (as mentioned above) and everything is fine. As for the notched collar, it whole purpose is to align the diff cup and protect things. If it gets beat up, then it is doing its job.

From your picture it looks like you are using stock rod ends, so you should be good to go with the turnbuckles on the bottom of the drag link and the drag link sitting on top of the bell crank.

Ok have a look at this.

Is this kind of the way it is supposed to be setup? I understand if it is, I'll make it work. I just know that if you put things in the wrong place it will cause binding after I put it together, and I will loose suspension travel I thank you guys for your time.

Should look like this...[edit] oooops looks like you got it right.

Lykan, that is the way I have mine set up. That should work just fine.

If it causes problems, per the TRAXXAS diagrams, you can run the turnbuckles underneath the drag link. However, if I recall correctly, you were the member with the steering issue where the turnbuckles were causing the wheels to spread when the suspension got compressed.

Regardless, the way you have it in the second picture should work just fine.

From your picture, it looks like you run without a steering servo skid plate. You may want to look into getting one. Protect that servo.

I do run without the steering skid. I will get one now. Maybe I can break that servo so I can slip a high torq and a skid by the wife :shhh:

I wasn't the one with the suspension problem, but I followed that thread closely. I wanted to make sure I didn't have the same problem, and have to tear it down again.

Thanks again for your help and suggestoins

Thanks for the confirmation TT120
