I am new to the 2.4 ghz radios and I just got the 2.4 ghz reciever for my savage and for some reason it does not want to link with my TQ transmitter? Is it supposed to link on its own when I turn them both on or is there a procedure I have to follow? Thanks

are they both traxxas radio and reciver because if they are it should but if their diff brands it wont.

If it is a multiple model radio, and the receiver and transmitter are compatible, you have to put both receiver and transmitter into bind mode.

Here you go mudslinger, from the 2.4 LINK manual. I have the same system, and I'm very pleased with it.

1. Press and hold the transmitters SET button as you switch the TX on. The TX's LED will flash red slowly. Release the set button.

2. press and hold the receiver's LINK button as you switch the model on. Release the LINK button.

3. When the TX and receiver's LEDs turn solid green, the system is bound and ready for use. Confrim that steering and throttle operate properly before driving your model.

Well unfortunately they still haven't bound to one another! I did what the instructions said but all they do is blink. The tx blinks red slowly and the rx blinks green rather quickly! Whats going on here?

Which system do you have? They've done 2 different 2.4 systems, the regular and LINK system. Go to this page and tell us which one you got.

Both the tx an rx are the new high output Link system. I tried reseting the tx but still nothing. Is there a way to reset the rx?

Check your bind plug on your RX is still ok . My bud bought his t maxx coz he couldn't get the to bind and his bind plug was broke .

On my set there is a bind plug (a small plug that goes into the socket your not using ) all i do is plug that in and turn it on hope this helps :)
