Ok..heres the scoop. I recently upgraded to 20% nitro...well while i was running my team associated stock .15 engine yesterday it was running fine...really fast and then it made a "clank" noise and stopped dead in its tracks. I can't even pull the pull start...is it dead? : O (

You broke your conrod. Take it apart and see if you did break it, but I'm 99.5% sure you broke your conrod. The EXACT same thing happened to me once.

Take the engine apart, sounds like the connecting rod, no big deal usually.

Unless the conrod ends up gouging the the sleeve like mine did....

Yeah, con rod or crank... happened to myself and one of my friends with our stock gt engines.

Well, first, take apart the engine to see if the conrod is broke, and if anything else is broken. If you have the money, I'd just reccomend a whole new engine, if not, then just replace the parts if not too much is broken.

luckily i had an OS engine i just bought for my rc10gt that i stuck on there and it runs like a champ. Is it pretty easy to take the engine apart and get to the connecting rod?

Yep.Take the head off... Take the pull start and back plate off. Then push the sleeve up through the top (piston should come out with it if the rod is snapped). Then slide the remaining part of the rod of the crank pin (it pulls off towards you).

Well, since it's the stock .15, now you have a good excuse to upgrade to a better engine. For the cost of parts and time, you can save up and get yourself a better engine. If your just bashing around and not racing, you have a whole bunch of mills to choose from.
