Bought one of these in my last HK order:

For a fiver!

How long will 1450mAh last in a buggy Tx? Any rough ideas?

Also grabbed one of these:

That should slap my Rx/Servos about a bit! If it doesn't burn them out.

Cheers,

Paul

2100 will last for hours, especially with a regulator. You do need a regulator. I recomend the Muchmore Racing 6.5V 5A regulator. Very dependable and gives the servos a safe extra boost.

I assume without a regulator it will produce too much heat and possibly burn out the servos (especially if there is any binding?)

The Spektrum Rx's can apparently handle a max of 8V, so can be run without regulator on a 2S LiPo, so I'm told. My buggy Rx is not Spektrum though, it's an OEM branded as Annsman Racing.

Servo's is another story, haven't seen one that was actually quoting ratings for 8V. Most only list specs for 6V.

Now I have the Accucell charger I have managed to get a good charge in the 5 cell NiMH pack, so that will do until I can get a reg.

The LiPo Rx pack was only a few quid so I stuck it in the order cause it was cool :)

Very true, Only a handful of new servos and radios can handle a lipo without a regulator. Honestly I see no need for running that much voltage. At 6.5V a good servo turns into a great servo.
My Bud has 3pk with the FASST and the 603FS rx, 22oomah lipo and 6.5v reg. running ACE servos. He has to slow them down, it's too damn fast.
