I just released (2/4/2021) a new "Edgy" Sound Pack for Open TX transmitters.

❤️️ Some neat things about my Sound Pack: ❤️
--Drop in replacement for other English Sound Packs
--750 new audio files, more than any other sound pack
--Unlike other Sound Packs, you can browse in Windows Explorer and see the phrase said in the file, and sort by Album / Category. Yes! Godsend!
See it here: http://air-war.org/graphics/edgy_dir_listing.jpg
--No more 4 different voices on your radio, finally your radio will talk to you in one voice.
--I down sampled everything to 16kbs, with no loss in sound quality, which should work on even the oldest transmitters, but I only have TX-16s so no way to test.
Anyone with older or different radios who could confirm my sound files play on it, and let me know, that would be gang bangers.

Flipping switches on my TX-16 "Blue Caterpillar" set up for Quad Flying; the Sound Pack has all the sound files for Wing/Glider/Helicopter Pilots as well. My other TX-16 is "Red Queen". The popping sounds in the video are not in the sound pack, but artifacts of my incredibly rushed sloppy video editing splicing job.

No, I fly a 7" prop 6s Flywoo Mr Croc Quadcopter with DJI FPV air unit, Long range Duo Axii antennas on bottom and omni directionals on top of DJI V1 goggles at 50mbs and with 1.2watt hack, and a Radiomaster TX-16s transmitter with 2watt adaptive setting on Crossfire Full. I also have some RTF boxed quad copter sets given to me that I don't fly, the most interesting of those being a JJRC H68+ that has GPS lock which is very nice to have.

99% of my time though is spent in Liftoff, one of the more popular quad copter simulators. A simulator is just way more convenient and forgiving to fly and you progress rapidly in it.

I picked out my nick shuttling NPCs to the LZ in a Battlefield 3 demo in the Blackhawk helicopter, which I just imagined was a UH-1 and I was in Nam Put on some Fortunate Son, and ride that horse into the LZ and park it on a dime under fire. I moved quickly onto Battlefield 2142, futuristic VTOL gunships, mult spawning aircraft, modding the entire server... then modding an entire BF2 demo server which Apache helicopters, jets, and some sort of transport helicopter that I modded the flares to be cluster bombs. I also modded the full game servers for both BF2142 and BF2. Good times. The skies on my servers were a poetry of falling debris.

None of those servers run anymore because GameSpy went down for good taking all the classic Battlefield games offline unless you run some workarounds to play them online. Too much trouble and all the players for the most part have left. I still got all the code though.

I also have Real Flight and MS Flight Sim, a Saikek Aviator AV8R-01 joystick, and rudder pedals, but I never use them, just collect dust. Oh yeah and well I have 3 people sized ultralight airplane projects, with engines, but they are also collecting dust at the moment. Right now I'm into RC though.

--- Quick install instructions ---
-- basically, you'll just be replacing /SOUNDS/en folder on your TX's microSD card with mine. That's it!

-- unzip the Zip archive to your desktop. You'll get a "SOUNDS" folder with another "en" folder in it
-- connect to your transmitter with a USB cable (or put your microSD in a card reader)
-- in My Computer, backup your old microSD cards /SOUNDS/en folder if you wish, or rename it to /SOUNDS/en_original , or... just delete it
-- drag and drop my new replacement /SOUNDS/en folder that you just unzipped
..... onto your microSD card drive using Windows Explorer
..... to simply replace your old /SOUNDS/en folder. (say yes to replace queries)
-- when done copying,,, disconnect safely from USB. you're done!
-- if you don't hear new sounds when power cycling your radio, make sure your radio "Voice language" is set to "English" in SYS: Settings:(gear icon)
-- Caveat: Note that if you don't use the other language sound packs, if you are pressed for space on your microSD card, you can delete them.
