Looks like SPC has full intentions of having large capacity batteries available for the Xmaxx release. SPC posted this on their website:
"8200mAh, 50C, 3S packs to fit the new Traxxas X-Maxx are on order. Watch for them to arrive in approximately 6 weeks."
I think it might be time to upgrade...
I've seen a number of people asking about what scale the Traxxas X-Maxx is around the internet. My question is always... what does it matter?
If Traxxas says the truck is 1/3rd scale are you going to buy it but not if they say it's 1/16th scale?
The XMaxx is huge, it certainly looks promising...
Heres a really cool look at the X-MAXX by RCCarAction and some running footage by TRAXXAS.
I have to say that some of the engineering that TRAXXAS put into this kit is pretty freakin' sweet although the body latch seems like a part just begging to get broken and the "self righting" feature...
Can't wait for this thing to be released in the UK, I'll have to see whether my LHS will let me have a go with a demo version. Can't find them in the UK yet...

Traxxas looks to making the "walk of shame" a thing of the past with the new Traxxas X-Maxx. The new monster truck is said to be able to flip it self right side up should it flip upside down. A simple press of a button on the receiver and the X-Maxx will work to flip itself over.
Check out this...

Traxxas just announced their newest and largest monster truck yet, the Traxxas X-MAXX. Nearly 30 inches long, 22" wide and 4" ground clearance, and nearly 20 pounds the Traxxas X-Maxx is HUGE to say the least. The X-Maxx monster truck is 4WD and equipped with a Velineon brushless motor.
