How important is it to get a temp gun i have hear alot of talk about everyone seeming to have one. I mean if its blowing blue smoke and the engine is not cutting out and runninng fast shouldnt that be okay ?

Okay...I finally fixed my car yesterday(and have fricken blisters all over from the hex wrenches). I recieved a temp. gun in the mail from kx250ryder, and I'm very grateful to him for that! Anyways, I just put a full 145 cc tank through my car and it ran pretty well, and it warmed up today...

well I'm in need of a temp gun.. nothing fancy as long as it tells the correct temp.. if you want to upgrade to a raytec or something ill buy your old one.. also looking for a backup ignitor.. rechargeable is fine.. dont really care for the ones that run on batterys but doesn't REALLY matter...
ok, i have my diratrax temp meter... i tested it on a frosty beer... right against the can it said 43 degrees (i use farenhite) then i move it back approximitly 2-3 inches, and the temp jumps to like 53 (10 full degrees) what is the most consistant way to use a temp gun???
