differential

On the T-Maxx, Is it safe to use Diff. Fluid on the Front and Rear Differntial's? Also In the transmission access hole, would it be a good idea to add a lubricant of some sort. Only reason i ask is in a "real" 4x4 truck, you would normally use all of this, but what about a R\C Truck?

i have been in buggies for about 10 years now bashing and racing. and i have seen technololgy progress soooo much. i am very good at dialing my car but i just can't figure out how to utne diffs...filling them with different oils, adjusting tightness....can someone give me general rules of thumb...

I am putting my diffs back together and noticed that there is about 1 to 1 1/2mm of play between the two spider gears. Is this normal? I forget..........

My rear diff is gone, won't spin at all. A guy at my track said it was probably the two side bearings that came apart?? He said that the gears are probably fine. I havn't ripped it all apart yet so I just want to here what you think. I hope its just the bearings:)
