Hey everybody I'm finally gonna break in my revo with my dad.
I'm just wondering do i have to finish it all at once ,or can i do half of it one day and the rest another day?
When i start the engine am i suppose to let it idle and let it heat up to the suggested 200-215 degrees or just start...
So I've got this shiny new .21 V-Spec for my RC8. Now that nicer weather has decided to visit the Seattle area I figured it was time to install it and start the break-in process. I put in a new fully-charged 12v in the OFNA 10250 startbox, got all the posts lined up perfectly, heated the V-Spec...
I just did the engine swap in my old t maxx .15, i put the 2.5r in it. soooo today i get about 3 1/2 tanks through the break-in and it starts to pour... wasn't supposed to rain today .. so i left. now later when i continue the break in should i start where i left off? or start slow and...
New to the RC scene. Bought my son a Savage 4.6 RTR for Xmas. I've done some reading, etc. but still a little concerned with the state of the truck.
I'm still somewhat in the break-in. I ran a tank thru it on blocks than another tank out in the driveway doing circles.
The truck has...
This is after the very first tank after I finished the break-in on the truck... Snow plow had just come by so there was tons of fun! I know the electronics aren't protected in these shots (balloons and gaskets now, waterproof servos to come), but at least I had the fail safe on there, best $30...
Must I run all 6 to 8 tanks at once in an uninterrupted break-in process, or can I do things separately? e.g. heatcycle one night, then tanks 1-2 the 2nd night, and so on?
Woo Hoo!
Both kids are sleepin so I'm off to the garage to run the first tank through my RB S3. It's been a while since I've even turned a nitro over so I'm a bit excited to start a brand new engine. My Tx and Rx batteries are charged as well as the stick packs for my brand new starter box...
Today I did break-in my XL, first tank static-idle and second, third tank half throttle driving around. My idle needle seems fine, the car isn't moving and wheels aren't speenning even when you lift the car, so that's fine. But, I still have the feelinf that it is till too rich because it...

I just got my Revo 3.3, read through the manual-and can't wait to break in, I'm in NY and on Saturday, when I intend to break in the engine, its supposed to be between 38-54. If I wait till afternoon, 45+ temp, wrap the engine head, can I please break in the engine-if you guys advise against it I...
Before I start my third ezstart battery maybe you guys could help me.
Its 45 out and I've waited about 3 weeks to break my 3.3 in and I can't seem to keep it running.
I had lost the factory settings so they are set back to what the manual stated, although I am worried since I read alot...

I replaced my piston/sleeve yesterday and started the break-in process...
I know I should do about 3 standing break-ins at a little over idle... until "up to temp". I don't really have a pyrometer or a way to read the temp - so how long should this thing run at idle?
Ok so I'm crusing along the net scavenging for news to post on the front page when I came across Hudy's website. Hudy has just released a nitro engine break-in station and I about fell over. Not because the unit is a swell idea, but because I was just thinking about my Picco 28 I had coming on...
