    does putting a bigger batter make the car go faster

    That appears to use a esc/receiver combo, so if you do want to try a different motor/esc, you will likely have to buy a new transmitter/receiver as well and find a place to put it. Might be best just to use it as it is and see how you like the hobby, then save up for a more hobby grade truck...
