Doesn't help that it's a single speed 4wd truck. It will want to run hot because you try and tune for good take off speed and good WOT running, but with only one speed, you have to run a bit rich because it will spend the majority of it's time at WOT. Just my 2 cents from when I had an HPI...- olds97_lss
