I do forget how much fun they are when things are working well. I bash with electric mostly now, which is usually in 15-20 minute intervals. The last time I ran a nitro was either my big block revo or 21TM revo. Forgot what it was like to run for an hour straight without shutting down, swapping...
Thanks!
I ran a couple of my electrics as well. Broke both of them pretty good though. :(

Was able to get out and run mine yesterday... it was hot, well, hot for me. 85F, no shade, no breeze... I was out for about 3 hours running 3 of my trucks, 1.5 of which was my BB Revo. Changed the suspension a bit since last time with RC Raven dual rate springs, 80wt rear/70wt front and threw a...
Yeah, it's the rocker posts (lns7606) that I'm after. I emailed lunsford and they don't intend on making them again any time soon. Can't believe with the 2.0 revo that people aren't bending/breaking them. I seem to go through a set every few months on my ERBEv2... perhaps it's because I drive it...
And how!
Planning on taking the BB revo again tomorrow. Redid the shocks/suspension on it. Added RC Raven dual rate springs, 80wt rear, 70wt front, had vdk #2 pistons in it already and made sure to move the rods to the middle holes on the arms to avoid breaking a post like last time. The fronts...

Praying every day that my company doesn't fold due to covid... 10% pay cut and required 1 furlough day a week. Wednesday has become one of my new bash days. So at least for a few hours, I have something to take my mind off "the suck".
It was a good time. The suspension setup on it is a mess... I really need to tear it down and set it up like my ERBEv2 as I really like how it does and it rarely has issues now. Before I got into electric, I'd set my revo's up to avoid much chassis slap... but with all the big air you see in...
Broke out the big block revo for the first time since 2017. Ran 500cc's through it, about 45 minutes of driving. The later half was with a busted rocker post, then broke an axle. :(
Forgot about this thread.
Fought with my Savage X a bit earlier this year:

Ran my 21TM revo a few times this year...
Yeah, even the expensive big bores run plastic caps. You can get replacements from rc4me more cheaply than finding the entire parts tree on ebay with caps on them. I found rc4me after spending $20 on the parts tree to get those last time. Appears the parts tree is cheaper these days on ebay...
I broke my 21TM revo out again a couple weeks ago so my new bashing buddy could see a nitro run properly. He saw some other guy run one but said he spent most of his time fiddling with it. I had meant to meet with him a week earlier, but our schedules got crossed, since I was packed up and ready...
For the cost... I was disappointed. With tax and whatnot, it was nearly $300 to replace the stock $130 3.3. I don't think it was $170 better than the 3.3. A bit stronger and more reliable to tune, yes. You have to remember, I'm comparing it to a revo with an LRP28 in it. Now, that thing has some...
Ran the 21TM revo again this weekend. Dropped the gearing a bit to make it a little more snappy when off road. Just went from 16/36 to 16/38. Made a noticeble difference.

Fired up my 21TM revo on Sunday. Ran 1000cc's of fuel through it. Will be adding the video to my vid thread soon. It was a pretty good day, aside from snapping my servo arm off before I finished tank 1. After going home to fix that, a little tuning and brake adjustment, I was all grins!
EDIT...
Burned my first nitro of the year last weekend. Ran 1000 cc's through my savage-x.
The last time I ran it, I had 17/47 gearing with the LRP30S2 and thought it could pull 18/47. After running it this weekend, I switched back down to 17/47. It just didn't wrap out well enough when in second...
I don't run my nitro's in the snow anymore... I used to when I had crappy engines that I didn't care about, but they got so fussy to keep running due to wear/time that now I don't bother.
Counting the days until Christmas... then I get a brushless revo to run in the cold!
