2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

At the minute I've moved onto my next "challenge" this time I'm using a Socket 775 ASUS P5N-E SLI , this has voltage control- so will be overclocking a celeron 356 I believe... Pretty much all the highest oc's for socket 775 are taken by this CPU...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

Yeah...In the end I'm still pretty impressed with 2.80 to 3.56 GHZ- and for an old school computer (Fujitsu Scenic) and a Celeron D, I'd say it's pretty good...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

Still nice though. Just a random question though- have you found any SOFTWARE that can overvolt your cpu, I've tried Rm clock, but I haven't found how to do it yet. Recently got a Celeron D socket 478 from 2.8GHZ to 3.56GHZ, but won't go any further without overvolting :( Still nice though...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

Hmmmm...Interesting, I was originally going to say that it looked a lot like a lamptron fan controller a few posts back, but then noticed the "G-vans" label. Now trying to find a place to buy one, I stumbled accross this...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

Thats what I'm planning when I get a 750D- at the minute I'm going towards a NZXT sentry 2, or a bitfenix recon. What one is the one pictured? I've seen quite a few in that style....

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

It was an OK case for the price I got it for, but now the cracks are starting to show when I'm trying to put more and more fans with better hardware inside. As I mentioned it doesn't have USB 3.0, the power button is a bit "clicky" and the drive cages aren't removable. The temp display is a nice...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

I'm upgrading to a 750D because my Zalman Z9 plus is full of little issues like not being able to use a side panel fan with a CX 750M...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

Yeah...That is the one problem with it- It's pretty pricey.

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

If I had the option between a stupidly expensive custom built box type pc case that's £500, or a 900D worth £280, I'd definitely choose the 900D- it just looks so clean and simplistic, but also functional and stylistic. Plus it's got brushed aluminium :P

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

This is really selling me towards a 750D, as I believe it also has brushed aluminium on the front....

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

I have a thing for brushed aluminium....It looks really nice on that 900D. Once it's finished you should take some videos and benchmarks.

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

You can never, ever, have the ultimate setup for more than a year. In 5 years time a gtx 980 will be £60...and the new flagship will be the Pascal XXX mega Titan XXX Ti X with 999999 Cuda Cores and 43GB of memory :P

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

I am with you very much, the 7990 would be my second choice- it's just an option.

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

I recently ordered an even classified 560ti 2win, it's two 560tis in sli (performs 30% better than a 580 (660)) and they sent me the wrong one,but before I sent it back I tested it and was pretty impressed- it was dead silent with no coil wine. But to me anything is quieter than a Gts...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

In most cases, the HD 7990 does outperform a 970, but they are hot and noisy and outdated. At the minute I can get a 7990 cheaper than the 970s in the UK, and as for ssds, I have a voucher for a website that doesn't sell 850's. On the benchmarks I found, the 7990 slightly outperformed The...

2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

At the moment I've got a few upgrades planned for my build: -Corsair Obsidian 750D -NZXT Sentry 2 -Corsair RM 750 (CX 750M too noisy for me...I'm fussy) -Samsung 840 Evo 256GB -HD 7990 or a GTX 970, whichever I can get cheapest. -New Rear exhaust fan-Cougar Vortex PWM Should do me for a while...
