Sweet! I am planning to order some more. I got the used 6500's in and they are great.
Picked up a Hyperion EOS 0720i Super Duo to cut my charging time by more than half. Going from 100W to 500W. woohoo
Not sure if i want to sell the Orion touch charger or keep it as a backup.
Hunting for...
Any more root cause analysis done on that thing @olds97_lss ?
Obviously there was some decent heat being generated if it melted the plastic. Makes you wonder if the bearing got trash in it and seized or at least started to drag which caused the entire assembly to heat up.
Haha, I am in the same boat!
I sent an email to SMC to see if they would cancel my pre-order and then i ordered a pair of the standard 2S 5000's that they had in stock for $70.
Not two minutes later i come across a deal online for a pair of SMC 2S 6500's with 5 runs on them for $50 shipped...
Did you ever hear anything about shipping on them? I am thinking about cancelling my order and finding something else. I want to be up and running this weekend
$94 later I have a pair of True Spec Premium 7.4V 7200mAh on pre-order.
EDIT: and $26 for 8 new EC5 connectors. o_Oo_O
Decided to go with the 7200 vs the 9500 as they will fit the slash 4x4 and are a little lighter.
I'll wait to hear your runtime review of the 9500's before buying anything. Honestly i would probably be ok with either pack.
I had trouble getting 10AWG wire to fit in the traxxas connector. It would solder ok but i had to file it a bit to make it fit after. They are high dolla too!
After...
Haha, yeah I hear that. That sounds like plenty of runtime to me!
My only concern is that they state the True Spec Extreme 2S 9500 is not really intended for use everyday. Its more of a race pack rather than a beater pack and is more susceptible to swelling and reduced lifespan . That's what...
Erevo Brushless edition. Used but with only a few runs on it.
It's the first "larger scale" rc that I have had since the Baja 5B I got from Chip Cross back in the day.
@alpinehyperlite remember that thing?
The twin hammers is a sweet truck but it always looks so small when i see it in person.. The bash videos i see with the TH show it getting tossed around pretty easy whereas the yeti seems to soak the terrain up more. meh, can't go wrong with either IMO, it just depends on how and where you...
Regular. Really more for the aftermarket support. I figure the XL will get some love too but the lions share will be the regular. Well that and the significant price difference. :)
A RTR Yeti. Well i have an offer pending on one and if that falls through then I am hitting the LHS today.
I blame @WoodiE for this. My youtube playlist has been nothing but Yeti videos ever since the giveaway started.
I'm not sure how their other prices are. Nothing on the shelf had a price tag.... The table right when you walk in is where all the deals are apparently.
Got a SMOKING deal today. I think i did anyway.
I got this combo kit from a hardware store for $249 and they threw this in for free!
The deal is at Shannon Hardware in Broussard, La if anyone is close.
