cool thanks bro, I'm newer to the hobby however I had a 2wd stampede with a ANCIENT novak ss5800 brushless system when brushless first came out. The tech is SO MUCH better now its insane!!

As you can see in the photo, those motor wires are very short. The max5 esc comes with motor wires, one end with a male connector to go into the esc and bare wire on the other end. I plan on soldering female bullet connectors to that to connect the motor to esc. Sound right?

Cool, I'm probably gonna have the punch set to the lowest level when I start. I have it geared at 10/41 with standard XBE diffs and tires. I will have dual Dynamite cooling fans on the motor and a temp gun to monitor temps

I went with the Poseidon p1527 1500kv and have it installed in the mount. I am just waiting on my ESC and batteries. This motor will have plenty of power on 8s correct?

The 1500kv 8s motor has a slightly smaller diameter and a can that should fit with length and it looks like it has the standard 4 mount hole format. Will it not fit into the stock mount?
