If your talking about the shifting adjustment spring for shift point ,if it has one ,yea ,you can damage it by over tightening it an smashing & distorting the tiny spring , or if you loosen it too much an it falling out of the hub! As far as getting one ,I wouldnt know ,can see if a local hobby...
