The smoke is not an issue ,a medium to heavy smoke ,just means that it is set on the rich side ,presumaly ,for break-in , however ,you may want to leave it on the rich setting for awhile ,but after the break-in ,you should always see a light white trail of smoke ,that is a good thing!....:thumbs-up:

Also ,check the transmitter throttle trim ,when you turn on the transmitter ,it could be opening the gap too much ,so you will have to adjust that in while adjusting the gap of the carb. That idle screw is to keep the barrel at an idle gap as you brake so that the engine don't die as well ,but...

That nut maybe manufactured that way ,something like a locknut ,because it is suppose to be adjustable ,an not to use loc-tite!

If it is a adjustable spring loaded one ,you might want to wait until it is adjusted the way you want it ,or were it needs to be set at ,then you can apply a drop on the threads to keep the nut in one spot ,as I don't think that it needs to be all over the threads!

Yes ,building a kit would definitely teach you how things go together an work! In fact ,kit building is always urged because of that ,an is the best way for beginners & racers! I had bought second hand stuff that didn't even touch the ground ,but ,you may not find or be that lucky ,however ,you...
