I would if i had boats small enough to run in mud puddles. Out of the last 14 days, we have had 2 where it wasn't pouring. We have a creek near us, and some of my neighbors are waiting to see how many of us float away. I said, not me, ill just sit on my roof and either play with my 2 drones until...
It originally started as a joke, like, a support group for people addicted to RC's, then devolved into who spent more, and on what. I stopped paying attention to it after that.
Do you mean for the Bugsta? If so, you are going to be very limited, since most car bodies, like the Tamiya ones, wont fit the Bugsta. The Bugsta is 415MM long, with a 290MM wheelbase. The Tamiya stuff is 190-200MM long. You will have to find bodies for vehicles like the Arrma Granite 4X4, the...
On the Arrma forum, there is an ongoing thread not only about how many vehicles you have, but how much you spent on parts. Some of those guys spend more in a month than i spend on all my bills combined. Well, not counting the 1:1 race cars.
Just dont fall down the rabbit hole, like most of us do. I fluctuate between 9 and 20 vehicles at any one time, with the average being 15. I currently have 14, and am looking at another one, but I've been hemming and hawing about it more than a year now. I know guys with a wall full of vehicles...
I run lights in some of my fast cars, because i run them at night, so, lights arent just for scale realism.
I'm not the one being hard headed. You are the one who can't seem to see that eBay is cheaper than HW Direct, so lets try it this way. The 60A sensored is $39.99 on HW Direct, and, on eBay...
With FlySky, and especially the rebrands (Redcat, Exceed RC, FTX, and most other cheaper brands) it is sometimes nearly impossible to get any specs from them. For my RCR-2CE, i had to go through the FCC site to actually figure it out.
To make it easy, i would just go with the 3 Channel i posted...
I thought they were the same. I do know that the GR3E receiver that the FS GT3B uses wont bind to the FS GT2 radio. I have several different FS radios, and my GT1 and GT2 wont bind with the GR3E receiver that i have for my GT3B, but my GT2 will bind with my GR3C receiver, and the GT1 wont. This...
This is the 3 channel that works with your radio: https://www.rcgeeks.co.uk/products/etronix-pulse-3-channel-2-4ghz-receiver You can either use the 2 channel or the 3 channel, but, it has to be a GFSK receiver for the Etronix Pulse EX2 sport radio. One thing you want to look for is to make sure...
I finally found the article i read awhile back when i was first researching BL, and it contradicts what you just said here. This is a direct quote from that article: For obvious reasons you can not take a sensored ESC and use it with a sensorless motor. IF the sensored ESC has the ability to...
OK, i am totally lost one one part of this, and that is the 60A sensored vs sensorless. One, no i dont see how a sensorless is better, since they are supposedly only better for rock crawling, which, frankly, i can't stand, and, two, i can get the sensorless, with program card (which is $10 by...
If you would have actually read the replies, you would have realized we are talking about two different versions of HW ESC's. One has to be soldered, one doesn't, one sensored, one sensorless, and right now, i can get the sensorless version, with programming card on eBay for $1 more than HW...
That would be nice, IF i was just starting out. I have been messing with RC stuff going back 30 years. Now i work on 1:1 cars, and still dont solder. Any soldering i need done at work, my brother does. I dont have steady enough hands for it, and never have. Years ago, when RC's had to be...
It does when the guy I have do all my soldering for me charges me $15-$20 for each job. I have soldered a motor and ESC exactly once, and because I suck at soldering, I watched the truck burn completely. No thanks. $7 to have everything already done is cheap compared to replacing the entire vehicle.
I honestly am not sure if there is a difference between the two, except for the sensor function, which makes the motor run smoother, and is useful for racing. I havent raced in quite awhile, and have never raced with a brushless set up, so i never saw the need for a sensored ESC and motor, since...
I just checked the manual, and i was wrong. Apparently the Photon Leopard series 45A and 60A are both a 5V BEC. This is the manual for the ESC: https://www.etronix-rc.com/manuals/ET0400-0403.pdf If you are on a mobile device though, it may not load, since it is a PDF.
This is the product page...
