Anyone here into plastic model kits?

You're very welcome. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. This discussion got me thinking about pulling some of mine out, but, I'm not sure where i would put them, unless i got a car trailer and stacked some on it. But then i would need a semi to go with it lol.

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

The ones on Model Roundup are all vintage originals, so are some on Hobby Town and Hobby Lobby, but most are redo's of vintage vehicles, or, in the case of where they switched from the F-1 to the F-100, minor changes made it a whole new kit. Tower, Walmart, MegaHobby, Hobbylink, Wonderland, it...

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

The biggest issue with models is that they follow trends. Anymore, the fast imports are the thing, so you will find more of those, but, if you know where to look, they can be easily found. The Ford F-1 is almost impossible to find, but the Ford F100 is a bit easier. This site has a couple of...

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

The last pic, which is kind of dark, is a black 33 Ford, that i have had since i was around 10 or 11, and the blue one is a 35 ford 5 window coupe with working rumble seat. The only Willy's i currently have that isn't in a box stored away is a '41 tilt nose gasser that is currently sitting on my...

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

Just for the hell of it i pulled the first box i could reach out of my closet, and found the newer version of the nightmare '57 that the doors and trunk open (the reason i call it a nightmare is because none of the body panels line up, and it takes forever sanding and filling to get them right)...

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

You mean this one? I actually sold one of them not too long ago, since i had 3 of them. My step dad has i think 2 of the movin on truck. I liked the 53-56 Ford Panel Wagons myself. As for the pickup, i preferred the 56.

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

It was the black '66 Malibu SS with flames. I had that kit several times, and always traded it for something else. As for my collection, i never could afford the real version of the cars, so, i would build them into what i wanted if and when i ever got the chance to own the 1:1 versions, and i...

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

I have been doing models since the late seventies, and currently have over 600 finished, and more than a hundred still in boxes untouched, but, not all of mine are cars. Some are boats, and i even have a stagecoach with horses. Unfortunately, due to massive space restrictions, most have been...

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

With any plastic model, it all depends on the buyer. There is typically always someone out there looking for vintage stuff, but, it all comes down to who wants it, and how many potential buyers there might be. You might find a collector willing to pay a decent price, but, then again you may not...

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

They actually make quite a few different trailer models. I think my step dad probably has at least one of every Revell and AMC trailer ever made. He just recently picked up 3 new box trailers, 2 reefers, and a car hauler, along with 6 different trucks.

Anyone here into plastic model kits?

If that is an original, its 35 years old, and although the 766 is very hard to find on any site, the 745 from 1997 is roughly $100 US on ebay. However, some of the early nineties Italeri trailers are going on ebay for less than $40. With models, it all depends on the buyer. I have a bunch of...
