    Maybe the OWB is in the wrong direction. Is the engine gummed up?

    You might actually have an HPI 3.0 engine. Does the engine says HPI or AE? I think HPI has a black body while AE has a silver body.

    I don't think they are compatible, I believe HPI is bigger and the Hex adapter for the OWB is bigger too.
