    Aluminum links - definitely not on a basher, even if they are 7075. 7075 T6 aluminum absolutely does not bend. It breaks. And being turned down and threaded that small, I could break them by hand. A hardwood dowel rod would last longer. I've not read all the way through this, but @pug, no idea...
