Went ahead and converted our current Turbo Scorpion to the Beetle. When the new Turbo Scorpion arrives, we'll just build a new Scorpion. Still waiting on a roll bar, and had to order different wheel adaptors for the rear. Also, will need to order the correct driver figure to finish this build...

Headlights tinted and LED's installed. Window masks removed, and I tinted the sunroof. And I couldn't resist a little preview of things to come 😜

Not really liking this yet Think I am going to wait to get the body mounted to decal it. But I did get the necessary Kyosho Racing Team decal on.

Still have to spray the headlights tomorrow, but I couldn't resist pulling the film off to see how the pearl charcoal came out. It's purdy! Got the mirror chrome painted on the headlight buckets too.

It is one I bought off ebay. Got a good deal on it. It's just big enough for 1/10 buggy bodies. Got the yellow done. Matched up the wheel yellow pretty good.

Started with a light anti-bleed dusting around the masks. Then a light coat, paying particular attention to hard to spray areas, like inside the lips of the wing and headlight buckets. Then I went back over with a full light coat, followed by a medium coat. Gonna give it one more coat, then peel...

Decided to go with pearescent Faskolor paints from Parma. Using a charcoal for the main body, and I'll have to come up with a mixture of yellow with a dot of orange to match the wheels. The yellow I have is a tad too bright. The Createx candy yellow is for the headlights.

Yeah, I am feeling as good as I'm gonna get. My right knee is going out on me, and making it more difficult to get around. It is what it is though.

Thanks AC. I haven't been feeling too good these past few days, so it is going slow. Added a few more torn areas to the mask. I think this is it for masking. The rest of the design will be done with sponsor decals after the paint work is done.

It's a good deal for about $800 if it's in good shape. So yeah, $300 is a steal.

Decided to just go with a splash of yellow over a black body. Not sure if I am going to paint the depressions in the hood yellow or not. I am going to do yellow tinted headlights with LED's though.
