I would only be using it for 4500mah 2s LiPo's that wouldn't even be fully discharged in some cases. So yeah it would suck if you where trying to use it to charge 4 or 6s batteries but I wouldn't be so it would work great for my situation :hehe:
What charger would you recommend for that same...
They are overpriced which is a big reason I don't have one yet. But Spektrum released this a bit ago, which is more in my price range. Yeah I see where you're coming from. I like to look at the high temp's of the ESC, motor, and battery, and the top speed, Mahs used, and some other handy stuff...
I use some Smart batteries because I use Smart electronics in one of my cars because I like the telemetry that they have. I don't have a Smart charger though but I'm considering getting one not because I don't care to learn about LiPo safety but because I like the idea of just plugging in the...
Also I think because IC3 connectors have the third smart plug in them and XT60 connectors don't the adapter (you where talking about a IC3 to XT60 adapter correct?) would just ignore the smart plug. Keyword in this being THINK, there's a big chance I got this totally wrong or completely...
I use the discharge feature to cycle LiPo's that have a high IR (Internal Resistance) the less resistance they have the more efficient they'll be and you'll get a bit more power out of them. But it's not something you necessarily have to do, just something I like to do. And if you do use...
Another thing you'll have to look at with batteries would be different connectors, which probably goes without saying but it's something to look out for
