The stock composite shock adjustment collars give some people a rough time while adjusting ride height. I didn't have too big of a problem. I think I'd rather have them tight than loose, but Tekno has added some aluminum upgrade bits...

Shock Caps
There is a pretty huge weight difference between the SCT410SL and the SCT410 2.0 platforms. I'm totally blown away, so far, the composite shock caps have held up seeing as my SCT410SL's one front cap failed on me during the first couple of runs. I do have a spare set of aluminum...
Larger Battery mAh (capacity) Needed
I think it's well known that the SCT410 and SCT410.3 suck the life out of 2S batteries during hard charging racing scenarios. Taking suggestions from others, it's apparent that you need a larger capacity battery to make a 10 minute main if sticking with...
It seemed like, there for awhile, all you heard about on the SCT410.3 platform was how to get rid of the nosediving. After reading people's posts and their SCT410 2.0 "nosediving" shenanigans, I was like, here we go again. I originally thought the manual had a misprint on the piston/shock build...
Yes. If I understand you correctly, that Scorpion steering link is teetering on the leverage/no leverage point of things... same thing with my SCT.
Yes, sorry you never had a too much steering "problem"😁👍 . I'm sure there are other platforms out there that have an option for steering stops. I...
Mud Flaps
One online comment :preachin: was made about me making/using mud guards, "Don't run them. Too much drag." LOL :hehe:. I can't wait for the person to comment on my mud flaps :stick: . Spare Team Associated SC10 rear bumper just zip-tied onto the existing SCT410 2.0 bumper. They were not...
Shock Pistons & Weight
Had a great first run. Was expecting more debris onboard the chassis.
LOL. She's not a lightweight, that's for sure. 🫣 😬:hehe: That above number is the SCT410 2.0's running weight.
I built/ran the SCT with the pistons swapped... 5x1.1 in the front, and the 5x1.2 in the...
They'll be, most likely, all dinged up/defaced after the first outing. Finishing up the 2.0's guards got me in the mood to make some for my ET410 & SCT410SL platforms.
"Mud Guards"
Putting finishing touches on some "mud" guards. I like to call them pebble deflectors, 'cause I rarely run in the mud. Anything that helps keep shock boots/shafts from getting all banged up... I'm all for it. I don't know if they'll be any good, or not, but if you'd see the stuff I...
Yes, but it's kind of hard to explain. I'm sure there is a video out there on one of Tekno's platforms that shows what happens at that full "locked" point. There is very little to no leverage on the inside spindle/wheel/tire while taking a turn. At that point the inside wheel/tire can have a...
A soldering job doesn't get any easy than what is needed for these connectors.
Just tin both the connector's cup, and wire, then lay the wire in the cup. Give 'er some heat and solder... good to go.
A third hand is always helpful though. Slide heatsink/cap on, and lock into place with set screw.
Steering Stop Screws
Having lots of steering is always nice, but that last little bit of steering throw, on the SCT410 2.0, has very little leverage on the inside tire while going into a turn. This allows inside wheel/tire rubbing on my 2.0's arm. The 2.0 manual does not suggest, nor does the...
Battery
Everyone says how heavy the 2.0 is, and having a battery with enough capacity/headroom is key to making a 10 minute run on the track. Hopefully, my chosen battery will be enough. CNHL had a promotion going on at Amazon, and the two CNHL packs that I used last year seemed good. Sooo...
Shock Length
As per the manual, the stock droop settings are 98mm/108mm. Well, built as per manual, I was on able to get the shocks 96.82mm (front) and 107.62mm (rear) eye to eye measurements... close enough :thumbs-up:. Shock bodies are 16.25mm at the threads.
Finished things up a while back. Wire routing, battery connectors soldered on, endpoints set... wheels, tires, and body painting needed. One thing you'll never hear from me is, "I love coming home from work, and start painting RC car bodies."
Shoving It All In There
Receiver mounted, and my attempt at dirt entrance mitigation...
Edit: And tiny antenna tube installed for now... plugging the hole.
😜I normally don't do it. I like black on black/gray hardware, but I plan to run a yellow colored body this time around and the price for the gold bits/pieces was right. I originally ordered some from eBay.
Center Brace/Wire Routing
Dremel tool used to make extra opening, on center brace, for ESC's wires to pass through while on their way to the receiver. Wires are at that perfect spot for trial and error. I don't think I weakened the brace much/if at all. Time will tell.
I will be using 2S...
