It's sort of an optical illusion. The target is actually mounted on a T post. And that's a tree stand back in the background that has the large frame you see.
Those three cylinders make all the right noises with an aftermarket exhaust. Rode my buddies Speed Triple, with a Mivv exhaust system, it was intoxicating. And 3rd gear was good from 30mph to 85mph, and just use the right wrist to dial in altitude for wheelies. 😁
Had a mini-vacation last week to south Georgia. First time past 100yds with the Tikka T1X .22lr. Went 8 out of 10 at 300yds with cheap CCI SV ammo. So much fun.
Need to get an updated pic as I've added a barricade stop, and the spigot mount for the bipod.
That's cool! I had a friend when I was younger that designed and built high-end speakers and audio systems for some large companies all over the world. Super cool and interesting guy. I had a couple of his setups in my trucks over the years, and an old Marantz tube amp in my house from him. The...
I respectfully disagree. Watch some highlight reels, they're both going at a 10/10 pace, using all the bike and tires have to give, and in some cases, more than it can give which results in either a miraculous save, or a crash. It's exactly what makes them the best in the world, they can extract...
My last conversation was with a nice NC State Highway Patrol officer about why I was riding wheelies on the highway. She was cool, I had a clean record so she wrote me a warning. When she asked why I did it more than once (didn't see her behind our large group of bikes WAY back behind us), I...
I would argue that all the top-tier AMA, Moto GP, etc riders are all incredibly talented riders. What separates TT racers is they aren't on race tracks, and generally have no run-off room, etc, which is why there are so many deaths. That fact alone to me is what separates them from any other...
Agreed, modern litre bikes are insane. A mm too much throttle in a corner and you're gone. It's fun to watch somebody with the talent to control it though. One of my buddies, ex road race guy, modded gixxer 750.
That's super cool! It was always more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than the other way round. Big bikes will bite you the instant you do the least little thing wrong. I always tell people it took a 40HP dirt bike to teach me how to ride a street bike properly.
This is the truth. They've made an astonishing amount of money selling an image to people that otherwise never would have been a motorcyclist. Not to mention the cost these days. They were originally an American blue-collar bike that everyone could afford. Hell some of them cost more than a new...
Long story short, they took the corporate tax cuts under Trump with the promise of keeping American factories open. Then a couple of months later a bunch of their higher-up executives took a stock buyback option that cost the company millions of dollars. They then closed the Kansas City factory...
I'm tall so not much hanging off for me. I would never, EVER buy a Harley due to them being a terrible company, and un-American these days. But that's just me. I'd own an Indian though.
