    It sounds to me like an application is looking for a DWORD of other registry string that has been modified or isn't there anymore in the registry hive, so the application is reporting as much.

    From all the issues you've posted, I don't think it's just Windows 10 only that's causing your issues. Have you tried Malwarebytes for a scan? It's been my go to for a long time now. Even then, sometimes a format and fresh install is faster and easier than tracking down every little issue.
