You obviously didn't read what I was quoting and replying too. It was said the Hobby shop had to close because they refused to sell Traxxas batteries and chargers.
Maybe read what was written before making a response to something different than what was said.
That's opposite from what I quoted. Refusing to sell parts (batteries and chargers) is much different than being a mail-order store.
EDIT: I know Traxxas has pushed for a Brick and Mortar stores over online.
This is kind of hard to believe. Your comment doesn't make any sense.
Even if they required them to have a battery and charger in stock it doesn't mean it couldn't be put on a shelf somewhere never to be sold.
What happens to unsold stock that is already there? Traxxas would also stop supplying...
Did you look at the patent? It's not about the o-ring. It's about how it was designed to allow wires to exit. How is that not their design?
Like you, I like having a discussion. It's not arguing when it's an open discussion back and forth seeing the point of view from one another's opinion even...
I'm not disagreeing with anyone's personal opinion. I'm only pointing out that there's more than just Traxxas that protects itself.
I believe more in defending Patent infringement than the Trademark infringement. If I develop or invent something is it ok for someone to steal it, copy it and make...
Agreeing with @WickedFog and also to ask the Anti-Traxxas crowd:
Not sure where Traxxas went after someone for "simply saying it fits a Traxxas?" Got any examples that I can look at?
I'm not saying how some web hosting sites shut down stores was right, just trying to find a legitimate...
Not sure if you notice or not but take a look at anything on TV and most movies now. The vehicle emblems are being blacked out.
Selling something as your own that will fit a manufacturers' item and selling something as your own implying it is the manufacturers' part is two different things.
