Yeah mate, best way to make sure you get something that you know will work. 👍
I hate threads like this. RC is a hobby not a pissing contest on who has the most expendable cash.
I'm not really sure about the whole protocol vs modulation mode part. I'm made an assumption based on what I saw in the specs on banggood. That being said I went and looked on Flysky's website and they dont list a "modulation mode" in their specs. The GT2 and the GT3b both us AFHDS1 so I would...
I'm not sure that the protocol and the modulation frequency are the same thing. For example the Flysky RX says AFHDS on the RX but the specs say the modulation mode is GFSK
Yeah you just plug it in to the balance plug right before you start bashing and when it starts alarming bring the kit in...
I have yet to see a sensored esc that couldnt operate in sensorless mode. They may exist but most sensored will do both. The HW in particular that weve been talking about will do both.
Its good for rock crawling and racing. Bashing obviously doesn't matter but its a nice feature to have even...
If you can set the LVC in the ESC to 3.2V/C or higher then you dont need a low voltage alarm. If you can't set it then you can get them pretty cheap off of eBay. Like THIS
You can buy em off of eBay but they were limited editions and are no longer available so the price is pretty stupid. I love...
BTW, When money allows you may want to pick up a cheap cell checker. Its a fast way to check all the voltages of your lipos. Theyre fairly inexpensive too.
Something like this. Any cell checker will work though...
Measure Red/ Blue, thats the third measurement you're missing. two of the readings are going to be the cells individually and the other is going to be both cells combined.
I forgot to mention, whatever brand battery you buy make sure it will fit in your battery tray before you buy it! The sizes are not standardized! :)
Bro... Having electric RCs as your hobby and not learning how to solder is like having guns as a hobby and not learning how to actually shoot. We...
The balance leads will give you 3 different reading depending on which leads you test. One reading will be cell 1 by itself, one reading will be cell 2 by itself, and the third reading will be both cells combined which should be the sum of cells 1 and 2.
Id look for an HRB or Liperior battery...
I never go lower than 3.2V/C which is 6.4V for a 2S pack. If it measure 6.36V right after you got done running it then its probably ok. If it was 10 minutes later then the pack voltage should have rebounded higher than that and that may be a problem. The short run time is a problem that has to...
You said the ones on eBay are $45. So youd rather spend an extra $7 on an ESC that is less capable because you dont want to solder wires on to the ESC? That doesn't even make sense.
A sensored set up lets the motor and the esc "talk" so the ESC always knows what position the rotor is in inside...
That signal wire looks a little worse for wear right up there by the plug. I'm assuming youve doubled checked that to make sure its intact?
5V seems awefully low. Typically its 6V. Maybe theres a setting you can change in the ESC to bring it up to 6V or maybe its just made that way. If tehres a...
The battery is degrading already cuz its a cheap crappy battery and also probably wasn't maintained properly, especially if the charger you got with the kit is the only charger the original owner had too.
My best guess from what youd said and the pics I've seen, is that the ESC is probably fine...
Best guess is that someone plugged the ESC in backwards and reversed the polarity which fried the RX and the ESC wire but its also possible something inside of the RX just shorted out. The more puzzling part to me is how the balance charger got shorted out and got that scorch mark on the plug...
It sounds like theres a decent chance it still works. Its a bit of a gamble, thats true but worst case scenario you're out £12 for the RX. Potential savings is 2-3 times that. 🤷♂️
Trackstar, Racestar, GoolRC, Hobbyking X-Car, Exceed, theyre all bottom of the barrel Chinesium brands. If your...
