The FlySky GT3b has a comparable range also.

It would definitely be a lot trickier with that model than a Traxxas. A 40mm can isnt going to do well for bashing in it though. Too much weight in the rear. Dont go full drag brake go like 20% drag brake and just let the drag brake slow it down initially until it gets to a speed where you can...

That pic is epic! :celebrate: and yes, slowing down from 118MPH is tricky to say the least. Gotta use a lot of light drag break and space until it slows down enough to actually start applying the brake. can't tell you how many of my wrecks were from braking not going fast.

I'm assuming you meant to say the the 3080 is faster on 4S than the 3840 on 3S with the same gearing? If thats the case go that route then cuz the lower KV motor will be more appropriate for bashing too. More wattage does typically mean more torque and horsepower than a lower wattage motor if...

Unless the company comes back and says that the 13V limit is a typo then Id get the 3840kv and run it on 3S and adjust gearing between bashing and speed runs. The max RPMs isnt the only thing that limits motor voltage. The construction of the motor in general, including but not limited to, the...

Hard to say man. Gearing is a type of tuning you have to do with any kit. Start with 45/84 and see how your temps do and then you can adjust gearing according to how hot or cool the motor and ESC are running. If you want the data-logging feature of the MMX8 then Id say sure but if you dont care...

If I were going to try and run that motor on 4S (and I wouldnt) then Id start with an 84T spur and about an 18T pinion and see if theres room for a bigger pinion or if you still need to go smaller.

A fully charged 4S lipo is 16.8V which exceeds the maximum rating for the 3840kv motor. You could probably run it on 4s but youd have to go with really tall gearing and even then its gonna get hot really quickly. Not necessarily. Depends on how the motor is made. The max RPM for the 3650...

IDK which one will end up being faster (a lot of it is going to depend on usable gearing and how heavy the car is) but the 7000kv is going to get real hot real quick and is generally not suited for off road use. Its really only meant for light weight 1/10 scale on road kits. If you want...

The 7000kv is going to overheat anywhere but on pavement regardless of gearing. If your kit is more than 6-8lbs it will prolly overheat even just bashing it in a parking lot. Its not meant for offload use. Its definitely gonna get hot quickly doing speed runs. More often than not you can't...

With a 7700kv motor you wont be able to bash it anywhere but a parking lot and even then you're going to have to go to a smaller pinion or its just going to overheat during a bash session. The 4700kv will pull less amperage than a 7700kv on the same voltage. You can usually mod the motor mount...

The answer to pretty much all of your questions is "IDK". I've never messed with those high powered 1/10 scale TP motors so I have nothing to really go on other than hunches. The problem with going out side the box is it takes experimentation to find out what works and what doesn't. Doing speed...

Storage voltage for lipos is usally arounf 3.85V/C so it is below typical storage voltage but you can easily run a lipo down to 3.2V/C without damaging it. Nominal voltage is more just a marketing thing. It doesn't really mean much.

A lot of motor manufacturers dont use the can size as the model number. Would be nice if they did and added 2 more numbers to it to represent the mounting hole spacing too. 11.1V is the nominal voltage of a 3S pack. "The nominal voltage is what they market the battery as and what it is...

Yes. I didnt realize that the MM2 is cheaper or I would have recommended it in the first place. The Mamba X is more expensive because it has data logging capabilities and the ability to run sensored. The MM2 is a step up from the Mamba X in terms of power and Castle doesn't release info on...

No, Id go with the 150A or the 160A Firma if it were me. Will it work? IDK, I've never tried to run a motor that high in to the RPM range so I'm not gointg to recommend anything short of a full fledged 1/8 Scale ESC.

I couldnt tell ya about the trakstar. ESCs and motors are two areas where I typically dont go Chinesium cheap. Even on Hobbyking's website it doesn't have very good reviews. At least a third of the reviewers said it stopped working after minimal use so I would be real leary of it myself. The SW4...

I would try a 1/8 scale ESC like the MM2. Youd end up smoking the MAX10
