    DX8 (gen1) with E-flite RC Airplane Apprentice STS 1.5m?

    I can't remember if the DX8 was DSM or DSM2. If it is DSM it will not be compatible. If it is DSM2 it should work fine. The newer stuff is DMX but is still backward compatible with the DSM2 protocol. Welcome aboard! :)
