You can download the exploded view diagram from the HPI site but as a quick answer I'm sure that the three shims go under the part that holds the glow plug and then the head holds it all down.

From the above comment with collar / screws holding it on. If you take the owb off and put it on the other way does it do anything differently?

I have a Firestorm and have taken the engine apart, I don't think the G3.0 has such a setup :)
