That could very well be causing an interference I think. The way his was plugged into the battery, it was just getting the power from that. Bypassing the BEC of the ESC. The signal wire still went to the Rx. So far we have possible causes... Wet Rx Too many amps drawn by electronics Radio...

That's what I was getting at about it could be getting a brown out. With all those servos, it may be trying to draw more amps than the system can put out. One thing I wonder about that - are your servo endpoints set correctly? If even your shift servo is not set correctly, and it's constantly...

Yeah, it could have just been interference. That has been known to happen. Maybe running on battery power made the servos more susceptible to that.

Hey, that's a great idear. Or take the truck to work 😉

It could very well have just been moisture in the Rx. It doesn't take much. Swapping cables around may have eliminated it. Hard to say without further testing. But glad ya got it sorted.

Voltage brownout somehow. Maybe because the caps in your ESC are holding reserve power for when you have a high demand. Wiring the servos straight to the batteries omits those. Or maybe they don't like the full charge voltage of your batteries 😉 Those Ramp Crab servos 8.4v capable?

Could be the receiver has moisture in it. Or maybe the servos got wet. But strange both servos would go out like that. The motor swap could be drawing more amps, especially with the 2-spd trans. Maybe moisture in the Rx is causing problems. That would be the first place I would look.

Oh. What battery you running? And what servos?

    Powered from the battery how?

Hmm. Wonder if the servos were experiencing brown out from not getting enough power.

So... he's getting more into the crawlers? I figured once you guys got a course going things would get a lot more interesting.

You can shrink the receivers down a lot by removing the case. Good anyway so you can waterproof it with conformal coating.

How are you going to control the steering? Do you have a radio like a Flysky GT5 that can handle 4ws?
