Went to check out the Track the other day. Shop was fully stocked which I love. Lots of tires, parts, chargers, cars and everything. The owner Mimi was nice. Practice all day was 21.60 (guessing that 1.60 is MD tax because their website says 20) Friendly racers. They race mostly 4wd and 2wd MOD buggies and some stock. (That's why I got a esc that handles lower turn motors so I can do MOD in the future) Alot of tables for pitting. They have the full clay 1/10 scale track with LiveRC lap timing system. They also have a Mini Z track with LiveRC lap timing system. This was my first time being there so when I was driving my buggy it says unknown driver. Next time I am down there I am going to have them hook me up in their system like my name and class. This place has alot more kids as with my old LHS (Bay Area Computers and Hobbies) were mostly adults. Some of the kids there were running their 2wd and 4wd brushed or brushless slashes. I was only there for about 3 hours since I had to leave to get lunch and meet up with family down there for xmas presents. Will definitely be back because this is my next local track. But the only times I could come down is on Saturdays and they are racing Saturdays starting at noon. So ill try to go down on a Saturday and get the most practice in and watch some racing. Don't want to do racing yet since I really need some track time in. For the track I had ran my newly built B74.1D 4wd buggy. (To see how it handles check out my build thread) Also drove my rustler 2wd which I just swapped out for the buggy clay tires. Here is a video that my dad took of the rustler.

Here are some pics of the pits and tracks.

That looks pretty cool. I'm about 40 mins from there and may have to check it out one day. I've got family in Rockville.

There's a small dirt track (they are building an indoor one currently) at a shop in Waynesboro, PA (997 Raceway) About 10mins from me, but an 1.5hrs from B-more.

Their track is about the same as mine in my yard, just better maintained.

The last pic below is my track. :thumbs-up: 😁✌️

Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks! Just the last pic is mine (with the shed). I'll be extending it this spring and adding an oval track and small bridge. So excited!! 🤪

I heard of 997. I see that they have multiple tracks. I originally wanted to race on carpet and they do have a carpet track so might get carpet tires and some other things to race on carpet. Or might just keep racing on clay/dirt. There is a lot of other tracks I discovered.

Factory RC raceway York pa grey carpet
Proximity RC Berlin MD outdoor dirt
prototype rc Dover DE outdoor dirt
first state hobbies near Elkton de black carpet
adrenaline RC Winchester VA (1/8 indoor)

And there is more that I am forgetting about.

Yeah, I figured that out after I posted. Still, to have access to that track is cool. It is a beautiful track.

But before I get into racing I need alot of track time working on my lap times and driving.
There is also a indoor carpet track in middle River but they do on road racing.(180 raceway)

Getting closer from being track ready. Just need my uncle to solder up battery bullets and some other things.

WF and I both thought the hobby shop track was your new track. We were like WUUUUUUUUUUUUUT?! 🤣
Yeah, that'swhy I said that again cuz my tracknis nice and all......lol...... but mine is only 120ft from my house, so mine wins! ;):p:D✌️

Not sure when I am really going back down to this track. I might go down later this month or early April. The new track in Columbia is still working on the track. And I really want to race the buggy and slash. I got some slicks for the slash so I will mount those up this weekend. Also next time I go down I am going to try out the new ProTek tire sauce/compound and I should see more grip.

March 18th they are having another ROAR indoor national race.

They had just ripped up the track and here is some new dirt and whole new track layout! Planning to go down whenever I can. The traction should be very high.

Getting myself situated here. She had to raise the prices to 25 (from 20)
Since the new layout in May, the groove started to form so traction should be higher - I would think?
Next time I'm down I'm getting some traction compound because I am almost out.
Going to try to attempt to run the Mini B there but highly doubt it will come out alive. Lol
Looks like they had been running alot of 13.5 stock buggy so ill run what I have. Might get a mod motor soon, and keep the 13.5 when I want to run stock. Mod seems more fun.

How was it? What tires are people using? Are they using sauce?

I want to get there this winter. But I want to make sure I'm setup right.
I was running Ellipse silver front and rear, which are worn down to slicks really. Sauce, yes. Most people are using what she stocks, which is FDJ sauces. I currently use Yellow dot, gonna get more to experiment around. Other people are using just slicks, most popular are smoothie 2's in the silver compound.

For overall car setup, id to the tires and sauce first. Try to run the same shock and diff setup on what the kit setup suggests or what you ran at Pit Stop and improve from there. I'm currently running my full custom carpet setup minus tires, sauce, and added ride height. Works for me. 🤷‍♂️🤣

How was it? Amazing, people are nice, races go smoothly. Time flew by from 6 to 10. The track conditions? alright, she waters the track down almost everyday before closing. I did have some spots on the track where it was traction roll city and no traction at all. So its a mixture.

Let me know when your going down, maybe I can go down the same day. ;)

Coming all the way down from PA? Thats a drive. Well ehh. I met a guy that night that drove from Delaware, don't know where in Delaware tho.
