I finally finished upgrading the new Typhon I won on the Arrma Forum, to a basher. Literally just finished and had a few mins to run it as it was already dark. It ran nicely! Didn't run it enough to even worry about temps.

Process was a PITA, mainly due to user error. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  • Stripped a wheel hex set screw
  • Put new center diff together and all filled up with oil and forgot to put the new bearing on
  • Put HR aluminum gear box on front diff.
  • Put rear diff together, remembered bearing and screwed all on rig.....turned around and saw the other HR aluminum gear box case sitting there. Took it all apart.
  • Stoopid Basher bumper came with wrong part that was missing 2 holes for the spring. Had to order another.

Tires banged into bumper, so had to cut 1/2" off both sides of bumper. Turned out well.

Wanted to raise the body for clearance, room for fans to breath, and wanted to install the Noto6s center roll hoop. So installed body mounts in rear and front from the Noto6s. The front one I just cut one end flat, drilled a hole and screwed it on like the stock one. Worked great! Came across a YT vid from a year ago by Edough about that!

It was all worth it (so far!)! I got plenty of juice left to run some more tomorrow and really test him out!!😁✌️

Congrats on the win. Car looks great, I ran my typhon that configuration for a long time. It now has Mojave arms, cvds, dogbones and linkage to make it slightly wider. Also run the smaller proline badlands mx 2.8 on it. They are a 1/10 scale mt tire which can take a 17mm hub. Mine came with 17mm but now pl makes you buy the adapters or they might come with them.

Awesome! ready to rip!
Thanks!!

Thanks! Yeah, I was considering the wider stance with the Mojave arms, but decided to start with this. I guess like you did! 😂😁✌️

That thing looks fantastic! I'm sure it will run just as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Got to run it more today. Ran great!! Caught some major air off the ramp too! So much fun!! 😆😁✌️

Thanks! Appreciate it! 😁 ✌️ It's a blast. Arrma rigs are tough as nails. He's the Green Machine now. Added new lid and lights. :thumbs-up::D
